In this video, I document the launch of Project Kitso (Hausa for "braiding"). I’m moving away from "futuristic aesthetics" and toward Functional Symbiosis. By intersecting Ron Eglash's research on African Fractals with modern photonics, I’m exploring how traditional hair braiding can act as a recursive scaffolding for optical fiber arrays and Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs).
